Sometimes I hate my future job...
Agh!
There are some things in life which are just not right and unfortunately my class goes over many of them -- with pictures included.
I have learned a new horror to lay alongside my fear of bot flies -- flesh flies.
-bot flies - they lay their eggs on bugs which can transmit the pupae to people by biting them and the fly then pupates inside your skin before popping out. Think of it as having a maggot living inside a mosquito bite eating your flesh.
-flesh flies - they lay their eggs in living and dead flesh and we got to view the lovely picture of a case where a fly laid its eggs in a guy's gums after he fell asleep outside under a tree. ugh.
I am thoroughly grossed out at the moment and want to go brush and floss my teeth vigorously and then burn out all possible remaining germs with mouthwash. *shudder* ugh.
