I have the mumps.
Which sounds ridiculous, since I (like most people) previously thought that nobody got the mumps anymore. Apparently I was wrong, since here I am in a week long quarantine in my flat with cheeks that are so puffed out I look like Dib (or a really bizarre bobblehead).
I feel like crap. It hurts like a motherfucking bitch to try and eat anything but plain yogurt which I hate the flavor of. I know I will look back on this at some point and laugh, but this year here in England has in some ways been like one giant FUCK YOU from karma.
Seriously, mumps?!? I'd joke about consumption being next but I've had a chest cough off and on since Jan and don't wish to tempt fate.
I miss LA.
(and yes I did have the MMR vaccine when I was kid, but apparently they are now discovering that it needs to be a two shot vaccine for full coverage, and I only received one shot.)
